Yesterday evening we made it out to the Nordmarkskarusellen at Korsvoll school. I went orienteering and then Christine ran home afterwards. My main aim for the evening was just to take it steady and not make any major stuff-ups. I failed!
Things started off well enough but ending up at control 5 when I should have been going to number 4 was not a good move. I’d just followed the wrong line so it wasn’t poor navigation just plain stupidity. That lost me a few minutes and I lost a good few more around 9 where I’d argue that the semi-open woodland had changed significantly since the map was drawn. Those two mistakes were enough to ensure me a last place in the results.
