Birds tie the knot

Sunday, July 16th, 2006

Had a great day out yesterday at the wedding of Christine’s university friend Clare Saxby and Damian Bird. The ceremony itself took place in Oxford town hall. It’s the first civil ceremony I’ve been to and the carefully chosen readings and music made a refreshing change to the usual religious pomp. We then moved down to Christ Church meadows for some photos before escaping the blazing sun to Cafe Coco for cream teas.

A bus ride was then layed on to Millets Farm Centre which, despite the name, was an idylic location for a very tasty evening BBQ. We then danced the night away to Damian’s party mix and the excellent Jazz Soul Boogie Band.

No photos I’m afraid as, in my role as official photographer, I think the bride and groom should be first to see them.
