I’ve only just got round to reading last week’s developerWorks newsletter and it contains a positive plethora of interesting articles following the SOA launch.
For starters, there are new resource pages dedicates to WebSphere Message Broker and WebSphere ESB. The second article in the series providing an introduction to WebSphere Service Registry and Repository takes a look at the architecture, API and content. There is an article illustrating how to configure the new JMS node in WebSphere Message Broker to provide connectivity to different JMS providers, including the WebSphere Application Server default messaging provider via the J2SE client.
My colleague Gabriel Telerman provides a tutorial demonstrating how to use the flat file adapter with WebSphere ESB. This is one of the adapters that will now be provided out of the box with WebSphere Integration Developer 6.0.2 (along with the e-mail, FTP and JDBC adapters).
Finally, one of the new pieces of functionality in WebSphere Application Server Version 6.1 that I mentioned was WS-BusinessActivity. There are some new samples that demonstrate this functionality along with that of WS-ResourceFramework.
