144It was overcast again this morning but at least dry. Having negotiated the hordes of girl guides at the local shop, we set off up to Kaiseregg (2185m) via Salzmatt The top was in cloud but it broke briefly to allow us to see down to the valley floor. Unfortunately there was still no chance of being able to see across to the Alps.
We made our way along the ridge and then dropped gingerly down to Euschelspass. I don’t have much of a head for steep drops at the best of times and my Salomon trainers were offering little grip in the mud and wet rock.
At this point the clouds broke and we were briefly bathed in sunshine. Unfortunately this wasn’t to last for long and we spent the last hour and a half getting soaked once again. Having moved to the Hotel Bad for tonight, I’m glad to say that dinner was a great improvement on last night!
